Babysitting by earthlight...

In another dream from yesterday I was at a student house visiting someone. It might have been a boyfriend but I'm not entirely sure - that bit of the dream is fading from memory. All I can remember is that a girl had a row with me for some reason or other.

Later on I was babysitting for a young girl around the age of 3 who had special needs. Anyway it was getting late in the afternoon and I took her outside the house into the garden to watch the sunset together and see the pretty colours. So I was holding her in my arms and talking to her as I walked outside onto the garden path and I looked to my left to see the sunset and the colours went away because the clouds started to disperse. It looked like the moon was up there in the sky but bigger than ever and I pointed it out to the girl. But then the clouds cleared even more and I could see it wasn't the moon bigger than ever in the sky. It was a planet that looked exactly like the earth. Then I realised it was the earth. There was some freak phenomena causing the outer atmosphere to somehow reflect the earth's image back to earth, but only in this small oval patch of sky and it wasn't visible from everywhere - just at certain angles. I got lucky. I could see oceans and land and clouds swirling. It looked beautiful and amazing.

Then I woke up.

Astute dream

I had a dream yesterday morning that I got sent to a naval dockyard to inspect the damage to HMS Astute caused by the recent "crash" into the Isle of Skye and the "bump" it had with one of the tugs that was meant to pull it off the sandbank.

I got there and it was out of the water either in a ship lift or a dry dock - I can't quite remember all the details. So in my dream the foreplane and the fin at the back were sheared off and it needed some major repair work before it could go back to sea.

I will add that in real life I haven't been to a dockyard since the accident and the fin at the back is not damaged as far as I know and although they have reported some damage to the starboard foreplane I doubt it has sheared off completely at the hull.

VIP

I can't quite remember how this morning's dream started or what order everything went in now, but I will do my best for you.

I'd had to go back to university to do an extra course on something or other and some of the people there were familiar but others were not. I'm not sure which university it was. It may not have been either of the 2 I went to in real life.

So for some reason I had to go on an undercover mission to save the American President from impending doom in the town/city where I lived in the dream. Only it wasn't Barak Obama. This guy was white with brown hair. At first the terrorists were going to blow up a tourist bus as it went past him, then there was some other plan that I managed to foil by catching up with him as he walked alone through the city. He didn't know who I was but somehow I got him to trust me and walk with me. But then some drugged up dude lifted his wallet and I had to really try hard to finally persuade him to give it back before he found out who's wallet it was.

So I got him back to the university safely and took him to my room that I shared with several other students (male and female) and next thing I know the president is on top of me in bed and we're having sex. Only then my roommates are giggling and I realise they were there and awake the whole time and I nearly die of embarrassment. Then I wake up.

The Travelling Shop

This morning I had a dream that I was on a bike ride with my Mum and we were in the countryside and we got to a petrol station and I really needed the loo but Mum wanted to carry on - so she carried on and I told her I'd catch her up. I found somewhere to park my bike and I went into the shop. I couldn't see the toilets so I bought some tic-tacs and while the lady served me (who just happened to look exactly the same as the clarinet teacher I used to have lessons with after school) I asked her if there were any public toilets.

No there weren't. But a man sat at a table eating a meal behind me (I think it was a joint cafe/shop thing) said I should just follow the signs outside. I thought it was odd because I was in the middle of nowhere and there had been no signs. So I finished paying and left.

I walked out of the shop and couldn't see my bike. There were lots of cars about and lots of high-rise buildings. I decided to try to cross the road and look from there, but the central reservation was one of those flat ones that people can drive on at certain times of day and it was one of them times, so I had to run back to the side of the road so I didn't get hit by a car. So I was walking up the path towards the end of the road wondering where the petrol station had gone and where my bike was and how I was ever going to catch up with Mum when I woke up.

And that was when I realised I'd been in a travelling shop and it had travelled while I was in it!

May the second man win...

This morning I had a dream that my mother and father were at my house. I think we were preparing some food for a party or gathering. My Dad's parents were also there - or arrived during the dream. There were other people too but I don't remember all of them.

Then I was out with them at an outside restaurant and someone from work was sat at the head of table and I was sat at the end, round the corner from him to his left. We were sitting and talking waiting for the food to arrive and I had my right hand on my knee and he put his left hand on mine and we interlocked our fingers. Then I looked up at him and suddenly realised who it was and I got up and I RAN out of there as fast as my legs could carry me.

I ended up in a harbour or shipyard full of wooden boats and there were lots of people and I think it was a bit of a festival but you could also go on boat trips. I was meant to go on one but ended up getting off at the last minute.

Then in the crowds I met another guy from work and we chatted for longer than I've ever chatted to him before and he was really nice to me and we ended up hugging and kissing. Sadly I woke up just as that part started getting interesting though.

Foot the Ball

Those of you who know me will know I absolutely detest football. So I've no idea quite where this dream came from.

This morning I had a dream that I'd told someone (a bloke approximately my age) that I'd never been to a football match. Then later I was at my Aunty Sandra's house and she had a photo of me at a football match and I think it was a Nottingham Forest home game. In the dream I figured out what year it was and how old I would have been. I think it turned out that I was 11 and I couldn't work out how I'd managed to forget something from that age.

Well this photo ended up somehow being important and I tried to show it to the bloke but for some reason I couldn't so I had to tell him the whole story and it turned out that that photo had someone or something important to football in it. Someone at the pinnacle of their career or some such.

So he falls in love with me and I like him apart from his obsession with football but he does also like rugby so it's not all bad.

Then I'm trying to get somewhere with 2 or 3 other girls, at least one is still a child. I think we had horses to travel on. But I had to go back for some reason and I see this guy again and at first I can't get back to him because a gate is closed but he opens it and comes through to my side and we hug and then I wake up.

Dream of work and hospitals...

My manager Chris had organised some sort of trip up to Scotland as some team building exercise or something. I went with maybe 5 other people and Chris. There was a problem with my packing and I forgot to pack pjs or enough undies for the whole week we were to be away.

On the first day there we had to cycle round some course. I set my bike up to fit and then I had a brief chat with Chris and stepped on my pedal and cycled off and when I sat on the seat I realised it was higher than I had put it. Someone had moved it while I'd been talking to Chris. Chris started telling me off for not paying attention - this was all part of the exercise it seemed. I got annoyed with it all and just cycled off down the road.

Strangely I saw some woman I apparently knew and she helped me stop and get off the damned bike. I propped it up against the wall of her house and went in to visit. She was just dishing up dinner to her family and insisted I join her. Only she put things on my plate that I'm allergic to. Then Mum appeared and ate the things I didn't - despite the fact that she's also allergic to eggs. Mum and I then got up to leave and things turned a little sour.

For some reason Mum had no shoes on and she stood outside this woman's front door on a terracotta/clay pipe about 6 inches in diameter that ran across this woman's yard. She balanced on the pipe for several minutes then fell flat on the floor and started to have convulsions. It was a horrible sight. Her arms and legs flailing uncontrollably. I went to her and asked her what was up. She muttered something about potassium poisoning. I then rang 999 on my mobile and asked them to hurry up because Mum seemed to be having a fit, her breathing was all raspy and she seemed somewhat delirious.

So the next thing I know I'm being chased away by this horrible family. I manage to escape from them and phone the hospital asking where Mum is and what ward will I find her in. The female nurse who answered the phone said "oh, are you phoning about the deceased?" "what? deceased? I want to know where Mrs L**** E**** is, what ward she's on and what her condition is - I wasn't expecting to be told like this of her death!" And it turned out that the nurse had been talking about a male patient and Mum was alive. I didn't get to find out what ward she was on or how she was though because that's when I woke up.

ETA:
I've remembered that the hospital was in Aberdeen and they were talking about flying a doctor from one of the Scottish islands by helicopter to treat Mum.
